January

This month LWHS Key Club members have not been the only ones serving
our community; our student body has helped in making a huge impact on
our community as well! In a hunt to try to reduce the cost of DCON, we
took on the task of raising money this December. After helping with
the last of the Park Clean-Ups, LW Key Club decided to sell Candy
Grams during lunches. Candy Grams were a great way to do that! We
successfully raised over $100! Not only did Candy Grams go well, but
the students of LW also wrote letters to veterans. Our club has been
doing great things this year, and we have seen tremendous growth in
our members. This month marked our 100th member! Now that break is
over, we are ready to get going with more meetings and community
service opportunities.

October

This month at LW Key Club, we got our serve on! One event from this
month was with Tent City. We prepared and served a meal to the folks
who were living in Tent City located in a nearby church. This
organization helps give people a second chance by providing a place to
live, food, and even a job within the Tent City. We were so lucky to
have participated with this organization. This month LW Key Club also
helped at our local park clean-ups that are held in our community, and
trick-or-treated in support of Unicef. As we gear up for many more
service projects to come, our officers would like to thank our Kiwanis
members who have made everything in our club possible!
